1. What these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and Velgent (Melbourne, Australia) and govern your use of velgent.com (the “Site”) and the public Triage trial at velgent.com/try (the “Trial”). By using the Site or the Trial, you accept them.
They do not cover commercial use of the Velgent AI Engine, its APIs, or its consoles — that use is governed by the commercial agreement between Velgent and your organisation. If these terms and a commercial agreement conflict, the commercial agreement wins.
2. The Trial
The Trial lets you run a limited number of live requests against the real Triage engine, free and without an account. It exists so you can evaluate the product. Fair-use limits apply (per visitor and in total per day) and we may change or withdraw the Trial at any time.
When using the Trial, you agree not to submit:
- content you don’t have the right to share, or that is unlawful or malicious;
- sensitive personal information about real people — health information, government identifiers, financial details, or similar. The Trial redacts detected personal information before the model call and stores no content, but it is an evaluation surface, not a production system — use realistic but non-sensitive text;
- anything intended to probe, overload, or bypass the Trial’s limits or safeguards.
3. AI output
Trial output is generated by a large language model. It can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading, and it is provided for evaluation only — not as advice, and not as a basis for decisions about real tickets, people, or systems. Review AI output before relying on it.
4. Acceptable use of the Site
Don’t misuse the Site: no scraping at scale, no attempting to breach security or access others’ data, no submitting forms with false identities, and no interfering with the Site’s operation. We may suspend access that breaches these terms.
5. Intellectual property
The Site, the Trial, and their content (text, design, code, logos) are owned by Velgent or its licensors. You keep whatever rights you have in the content you submit to the Trial; you grant us the limited licence needed to process it and return a result — nothing more. We do not use your submitted content to train models.
6. Third-party services
The Site links to and relies on third-party services (listed in our Privacy Policy). Those services have their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for them.
7. Disclaimers & liability
The Site and Trial are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, and without any commitment to availability or support. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velgent is not liable for any loss arising from use of the Site or the Trial, including indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded. Where liability can’t be excluded but can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the relevant service.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the Site and Trial evolve; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes belong to the courts of Victoria. Questions? Reach us through our contact form.
